Little-known fact: When I was a smol, I dressed up as my favorite book (The House at Pooh Corner) for Halloween one year. My mom made the costume (hand-drawn posterboard front-and-back covers with straps so I could wear it like a sandwich board), but the idea was entirely mine. Looking back, this probably explains a lot about me and my future fannish inclinations.
