Why the hell is raspberry-favored candy blue, and for that matter why doesn't it taste like actual raspberries? I mean, when I was a smol it was my favorite flavor, if only because because it turns your tongue blue for the rest of the day, but now that I'm more discerning about what goes in my mouth, I have some serious questions. *squints*

I don't understand that either. Do the people who make this not know what actual raspberries look and taste like?

Also fake banana flavor tends to not taste like banana at all, while we're on that subject.

Actually! The reason for banana flavor not tasting like bananas is apparently that it's based on a variety that's not sold in this country anymore. There was a blight and banana growers supplying the US switched varieties, but candy manufacturers didn't change the flavor to match the new bananas. So yeah. #TheMoreYouKnow
